Strawberry Girls, Night Verses, Andrés, Hidden Hospitals, When We Was Kids
Strawberry Girls is a 3-piece progressive instrumental rock band from Salinas, CA. They formed in April 2011, shortly after guitarist Zachary Garren parted ways with post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance. Garren then became acquainted with drummer Benjamin Rosett and bass guitarist Ian Jennings and subsequently began writing and recording music as Strawberry Girls. They’ve released 3 self-recorded albums through Tragic Hero Records and are currently writing for their new album. Their two newest singles from 2017, “First Kiss” and “Sasha” are available on all platforms. Over the past few years, they’ve toured with bands such as Chon, Polyphia, mewithoutYou, Dance Gavin Dance, Sianvar, Movements, Pianos Become The Teeth, A Lot Like Birds, and more.
Places revealed to those seeking resuscitation, rejuvenation, decompression, atonement. Hidden Hospitals' iconic mark captures the band’s foundational vision: obscured within the double "H," is a universal symbol for aid, while their sound is CPR for rock and roll’s dying aesthetic.
The sound oscillates around modern rock and cult electronica, with lyrics balancing everyday dualities from the first line— "I lost my fingers when I found my fists." — to the last breath. Together, they create a sound and story that are a pulse of hope grounded in the reality of authentic relationships and experiences.
Hidden Hospitals' newest album, Liars, is the manifestation of a singular place, point in time, and frame of mind. And while it is the band’s fourth release, singer Dave Raymond feels as though they've hit reset, focusing on the future without forgetting the past: "Close everything else, this is page one."
